Inside Sales & Customer Care Manager
The Inside Sales & Customer Service Manager is responsible for strategically leading the Inside Sales & Customer Service Team. As the team leader, the Manager is accountable to develop inside sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales and market share objectives for all products via phone and email. Working closely with field sales management, purchasing, and marketing, the Manager will develop and implement action plans to grow customer accounts, maximize sales revenue and increase market share by demonstrating commitment to surpass our customer's expectations. He/she is responsible for coordinating budgets, bonus structure, and forecasts, organizing and implementing sales strategies, and achieving overall sales objectives.
Aggressively generate and qualify leads through phone sales techniques.Prepare price quotes and close orders.Prepare periodic reports on sales activities based on analytics and metrics agreed with Senior Management. Help develop established script to use when calling prospects. Mentor other sales team members on phone sales techniques.Contribute to yearly budget planning process.Participate in company improvement programs such as Strategic Planning Objectives. Participate and network in various industry associations and functions. Attend training and trade shows as required. Management functions will include staffing, training, coaching, managing performance, and performing regular business reviews with each representative. Oversee all activities performed by the Inside Sales Team, driving the team to achieve expected weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.Coordinate process and product training, drawing from available resources. Support the team and customers in any interaction escalations, resolving satisfactorily and gleaning coaching opportunities. Hire, retain and grow a high performance Sales & Customer Service team.Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to develop and execute on quarterly call campaigns.Prepare and present periodic analysis to Senior Management of Inside Sales Team activities related to bookings, meeting and quote opportunities.
To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience is required.5 – 10 years of inside outbound sales experience of distribution or manufactured products. 2 years of experience in manufacturingDemonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and CRM. Order entry experience required.Self-starter with a high energy level and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Solid business judgment and the ability to influence people.Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential with high attention to detail.
