Position: Quality Technician

Basic Description:
Responsible for identifying, analyzing, trouble shooting and implementing improvements and solutions to ensure quality requirements are met and maintained.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Establish and build excellent working relationships within Suzo-Happ and with its suppliers within Quality role.
  • Focus on manufacturing and supplier performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Establish a listing of measurement equipment and maintain calibration.
  • Design and develop inspection/testing processes and fixtures.
  • Establish criteria and perform incoming inspections.
  • Establish criteria and perform in-process inspections, evaluations and testing.
  • Review, revise and approve manufacturing work instructions.
  • Working with manufacturing, identify and process SRN's (Supplier Reject Notices) with procurement to obtain corrective actions from suppliers.
  • Initiate supplier CARs (Corrective Action Reports), evaluate responses and ensure objective evidence substantiates adequate closure.
  • Interface with suppliers and purchasing to insure quality standards and product specifications are maintained. Develop reports on supplier and manufacturing performance.
  • Process RMAs (Return Material Authorizations) to insure proper credit and/or repair is issued to customers. Process returned material back to stock when required.
  • Review and monitor Customer Complaints taking action to minimize recurrence and implement corrective measures.
  • Evaluate and maintain supplier generated First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) working with engineering and suppliers to resolve nonconformities.
  • Initiate and follow-up on Production Part Approval Process submittals to insure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Audit and monitor adherence to corporate policies and procedures.

  • Position Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Technical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years Quality Control experience.
  • Computer skills including experience with MS Excel, Word and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics.
  • Working knowledge with measuring equipment (e.g. calipers, ruler, multi-meter)
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Strong team orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, ISO and/or TS.
  • Ability to speak, read and write Cantonese and/or Mandarin.
  • Supplier Quality experience with Chinese vendors.
  • ISO Auditor Certification.
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks 3D design software.
