Manufacturing Support Technician
Manufacturing Support Technician is responsible for the technical support of any mass produced and/or distributed electronic components and manufactured mechanical assemblies covered by SUZOHAPP Americas. The position requires a solid electrical/ electronic know how to develop/ modify electrical/electronic test equipment and troubleshoot process errors.
Provides technical solutions, recommendations and support initiatives to mitigate and control any technical issues concerning the day to day production activities.Able to adapt in high mix – low volume manufacturing environment.Collects data during troubleshooting and diagnostic test for root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product performance.Developing and/or modifying electrical/ electronic testing equipment to promote process efficiency and high quality throughput.Troubleshoot and repair testing equipment to wiring or component level and execute replacement of defective components.Works with production and quality staff to facilitate the system close-out of RMA’d products.Train production employees with new testing methodologies. Cash Handling product knowledge and internal supportPerform related duties as needed by supervisor or manager.
To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Technical Degree (preferably Electrical/ Electronic related degree) and/or related experience.Able to build/ modify electrical/ electronic test box to test functionality of low voltage electrical products using voltmeters, oscilloscopes and function generators.Thorough knowledge of AC/DC circuits, electronic concepts and theories as well as its basic application. Able to read electrical schematic diagrams, interpret data sheets, blueprints, GD&T as desired.Must be comfortable of writing Assembly/Test Work Instructions using MS Office Application.Able to detect operating error and uses self judgment to derive a valid conclusions and decide action plans.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Light to moderate physical effort.Able to work in a room temperature working environment.Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; assistance will be provided when requested. Occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, talk and hear.Most likely to be exposed to mechanical and electrical hazards.
