- Bidirectional data capture at 19200 bauds with full support of 9th bit. It’s high impedance input does not affect the circuits undergoing analysis
- Output dump options: Into a PC via USB port or into a SD memory card of up to 2GB
- Time tag with an accuracy of 1/10 millisecond
- Power source options: USB port (PC / laptop), external power supply unit (DC 7.5V), or 4 AA batteries with 48-hour battery life
- Auto shut down for data protection
- Optional accessories: adaptor to connect fiber optic loops or TTL connections

The SMA consists of an information capturing device plus a software package storage of that information in real time.
